いろいろと工夫はしているのですが、
いまだにひかりはおトイレが苦手です…残念！
Although I’m trying my best to train her,
Hikari has not learned to poo and pee yet.
”Too bad!”
先日まで敷いていたピンクの洗えるシートの上が自分のトイレだと思ってしまっているのか
ケージの中に居る時は90%くらいの確率でピンクのシートの上でオシッコもウンチもしてしまいます。
ケージの外に出した時にはもちろん好きなところにしています。
目が見えないからしたくなった時、すぐにトイレまで戻れないのか、
もしくはそもそもトイレでする気はないのか？
まぁ、とにかく彼女は自由です！
Maybe she thinks that the washable cloth is her toilet because I noticed that she keeps on pooping and peeing in that same cloth when she is in her cage.
Of course when I take her out of her cage, she is doing her thing where she wants to do.
When she wants to go back in her cage, she can’t manage to go by herself because she can’t see anything.
In the first place she doesn’t worry about anything that’t why she can do anything and
anyhow she is free!
数日前までのひかりの部屋のセッティング
Her room’s layout was like this until a few days ago.

一応ピンクのシートは汚れたらすぐに取り換えられるように
何枚も替えを準備してあるのですが、
毎日何度も洗濯をする事に少々嫌気がさしまして…
これからはちゃんとトイレを認識してもらう為にも
トイレ代わりになるような紛らわしいものは敷かないことにしました。
とにかくこれでちゃんと自分のトイレの場所を認識して
オシッコやウンチをしたい時にはおトイレに入っておくれ！
と、願ったのですが…
I have lots of pink sheets just in case if it gets dirty.
But I was tired to wash them many times in a day.
I decided not to lay anything beside her place to avoid from getting confuse of which is really her toilet.
Because I want her to be familiar where her toilet really is.
Anyway, I wish her to go to the toilet by herself when she needs to pee or poo.
But…
結局、ピンクのシートが敷いてあった辺りの場所でオシッコをしてしまいました…残念！
でもまぁ
もともと
ケージ内にはフローリング直だと硬くて滑るし足にも悪いと思い、
継ぎ足せるマットを敷いてましたのでマットの上にする分にはふき取るだけ！
もう毎回洗わなくて大丈夫！
と楽観視していたのですが…
In the end she peed in the area where the pink sheet was laid before…”Too bad!”
well…
I laid an addable mat in advance to protect her legs because the floor is hard and slippery.
That’s way, it’s OK!
I just wipe it off if she does on the mat.
I was optimistic that I won’t wash it every time again.
なんと
さらなる悲劇は起こってしまいました！
マットとマットのジョイント部分にオシッコが入ってしまって
結局床までそしてマットの裏までかなり広範囲にわたりびしょぬれ。
当然そのままにしておくわけにもいかないので
ケージ内のマットを剥がし床とマットの大掃除をするハメになりました。
マットは継ぎ足せる仕組みになっているのが利点ではあるのですが
オシッコにはかないませんでした…残念。
Further accident happened!
Her pee got in between the joint part of the mat and got wet at the back of the mat with cover a widespread area in the end.
Of course I can’t leave it as it is.
After that I tore off the mat in the cage, and I had to clean up the floor and the mat.
The mat has an advantages that it can add, but her pee is stronger than it…”Too bad!”
そこでオシッコ防止策として考えたのが
マットの接続部分にガムテープを貼って水分が通らないようにしてみました！
Therefore I came up with a plan as preventive action against pee.
And I put a packingtape on the connection part of the mat to protect her pee.
これで完璧！
「好きなだけオシッコしてみやがれ！」
This will be perfect!
“Try to pee to your heart’s content.”
ちなみに
たま～にちゃんとおトイレできた時には
涙が出る程嬉しくて
たくさん褒めてあげているのですけど、
現実は90%が失敗なので
まだまだ平穏な日々の訪れは遥か彼方のようです。
Incidentally, I feel like I couldn’t be happier and then I’m almost crying!
When she did it well.
And I praise her a lot but she messes up her pee in about 90% in reality.
There is a long way to go before I get the peaceful days.
